Last week, Nikki Haley received the much sought-after endorsement of popular New Hampshire governor Chris Sununu. It was a big get, and yet it remains unclear how consequential it will actually be. Maybe the endorsement will help her in the New Hampshire Primary, held January 23. According to today's columnist, though, that won't matter if it doesn't help her in the Iowa Caucuses on January 15. It's a wild thought... and it makes perfect sense. Primaries are about momentum and, despite her rising numbers within the Republican field, Haley still has considerable ground to cover to even be competitive with Donald Trump in Iowa. We'll see how the races go in a few weeks, but today's link does a great job of putting them in perspective right now.
