On media bias, or the illusion of it...
Few political topics are as heated as media bias. I’m not eager to open that can of worms here, but I’m less eager to ignore a matter so central to our politics. So I’m going to open it and just say a couple quick things.
Media bias or the possibility of it or the illusion of it or however you want to describe it is an undeniably engrossing and multi-faceted subject. If you enjoy today’s link, I highly recommend Chris Stirewalt’s terrific book Broken News.
Because this is such a fraught topic, it’s worth offering my disclaimer that columns featured here don’t necessarily reflect my thinking on an issue. They are the best, most honest pieces I can find representing the position of one side or another. Today’s link fits that description to a T. I think a great deal of today’s author. I hope after reading this, you do, too.
