This week, we are going to be, as Julie Mason would say, blessed with news. Today is the second anniversary of the Dobbs Decision, more Supreme Court decisions on the most high-profile cases from the term (including possibly the Trump immunity claim) will be released this week, and there’s a presidential debate on Thursday. Since I didn’t see any great columns on Dobbs (hopefully tomorrow) and since I’m not in the mood to read speculation about the debate or decisions (I can be, but none of it is very edifying right now), it seems worth revisiting a recent Supreme Court decision and its implications/lack of implications for the court.
The author is a little more high-profile than I typically like to feature. At the same time, he’s a terrific representative for his party, offering thoughtful analysis worthy of consideration from all corners. I hope you enjoy his opinion and I hope that it sticks with you as more Supreme Court decisions arrive this week.
