With everything going on in the news — new abortion laws, campus protests, Hamas, Ukraine — I didn’t expect today’s column to concern the presidential race, but here we are. It’s a pollster’s analysis of the contest, which tend to be a dime a dozen. This one stands out, however, by including several stats about past elections that (a) I hadn’t seen before and (b) will almost certainly come into play this election. They don’t answer the question of who will win, but they do provide worthwhile context.
