I swear to you genuinely and with all my heart that we will get away from the economy soon. Last week’s polling still has everyone thrown for a loop, though, so if the best columnists want to keep talking about it, I’ll keep listening.

And today’s columnist is one of the best. He’s nuanced, fair-minded, and numbers-oriented. He’s also remarkably kind. When I first started One Daily Link, he gave me advice on how to get a toehold in politics. He didn’t make me pass some litmus test before he agreed to hop on the phone.
