On Vice President Harris' "60 Minutes" interview...
“60 Minutes” aired its interview with Vice President Harris last night. I didn’t see many recaps this morning — maybe I’m looking in the wrong places — but that was for the best. It made me wonder if the interview should just be the link, and it should. Otherwise each campaign and cable news outlet will just take what it likes from it and ignore the rest. That’s par for the course but hardly seems right. It’s worth watching the twenty minute interview to get the full picture.
I won’t give my thoughts on Harris’ performance. That’s not really the point of this. I will say, however, that journalist Bill Whitaker did an exceptional job. He was tough, thoughtful, persistent, and fair. I don’t know what more you can ask for. Watch and see for yourself.
