Because there was still an assassination attempt only three days ago...
I won’t lie. I nabbed this link from Real Clear Politics (which I make a very strong point of never doing) because I don’t know how I would have ever come across it unless I subscribed to the Bangor Daily News. This is the best summation of the conversation we need to be having about the latest assassination attempt and our political discourse in general. No victim-blaming. No finger-pointing. Just thoughtful analysis that we can carry into our own discussions.
