When I talk about this site's mission to highlight thoughtful commentary across the political spectrum, most people people say, "You must have a hard time finding good commentary from [their opposition party]." It's an understandable response given how relentlessly each party vilifies the other (I'm as guilty of it as anyone), yet columns like today's prove it doesn't need to be our gut reaction.
